A nutritionist is someone who is an expert in nutrition. Many people don’t have intensive medical conditions but really need guidance with their health. This support doesn’t have to come from a nutritionist or registered dietician, especially when often what people need is accountability and coaching to implement changes.
A life coach is an adviser who helps clients achieve goals by working through problems and making decisions. However, while life coaches have general training in a few life areas, Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches receive intensive training and specialize in all aspects of life that impact a person’s health.
A traditional health coach often focuses on one type of diet and one type of living. Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches focus on bio-individuality – the idea that we’re all different and have unique dietary, lifestyle, emotional, and physical needs. This means that we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to health and wellness.
INTEGRATIVE NUTRITION HEALTH COACH
Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches work in an ongoing coaching plan to support client goals. While dietary nutrition is discussed, there’s a larger focus on non-food forms of nourishment like career, relationships, physical activity, and spirituality, just to name a few life areas. These elements can impact markers of health such as stress, weight, and energy levels.
They assess a client’s overall well-being and together come up with recommendations to help enact basic health-supportive modifications.
Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches know how to live in a healthy manner, incorporate health foods and exercise, and help people find balance. The relationship between food and lifestyle and how they both affect health is the primary focus of an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
Transformation can occur at any time. Our health is a journey, not a destination which means we are always evolving and growing. Because everyone's goals are different, change and transformation can happen at various points throughout the program(s).
There are no special foods required and no specific diet plan to follow. We believe in making basic healthier food and lifestyle options based on what can be purchased in your local grocery store.
